An insight to Placida and the Cape Haze Peninsula....life surrounded by pristine waterways!

I have the pleasure of living on the Cape Haze Peninsula, actually I even live at the Cape Haze Marina.  There is nothing more relaxing for me than the sound of the water, the fish jumping and quiet starry nights.  This area has all this and more.  Enjoy some insight into my piece of paradise!

Placida / Cape Haze

DCIM101GOPRO

Located just North of the Boca Grande Causeway, you can find the Cape Haze and Placida communities. Made up of several intimate neighborhoods in an Old Florida setting, this area offers prestigious homes and homesites overlooking some of the most pristine waterways in the area. Residences located on Lemon Bay and Placida Harbor offer wide water views and quick access to the emerald waters of the Gulf. The deeper waters with no fixed bridges are desirable to sailboat and luxury yacht owners alike and have elevated the value of property. The views are absolutely spectacular and on days with an Easterly wind, you’re sure to hear the surf pounding on the shores of Don Pedro and Little Gasparilla Islands! Homes and homesites not located on the waterways appreciate the natural surroundings and give the feel of living in an old time fishing village with access to several marinas, and boat ramps.
So, if you’re looking for deep water access, an intimate community or sweeping bay views, you’re sure to find the home or homesite of your dreams!
To see properties by land or water, call me today to arrange a personal tour of some of the finest properties the area has to offer.

Manasota Key and Englewood Beach

I picked Manasota Key to begin since this piece of paradise is soon to be featured on HGTV's show called Beachfront Bargain Hunt.  AND, our company, Paradise Cove Properties and owner Jim Benson are a part of the show!  The premise of the show is a family is followed as they are making their beachfront living dreams come true — on a budget!  They are then followed on the house hunt as they discover some of the most surprisingly affordable beachfront locales that prove you don't need to be a millionaire to live right on the beach.

So, enjoy the info on Manasota Key and I will be sure to keep you posted when our episode airs!  Plus, if you are headed this way, I am happy to provide some great locations for music, food, cocktails and a good time!

Manasota Key

Featured-Manasota-Key

Manasota Key provides the perfect surrounding for enjoying the best that life has to offer. This quaint barrier island community is nestled between the Gulf of Mexico, beautiful Lemon Bay and encompasses parts of both Charlotte & Sarasota Counties. On the South end of the Key, you’ll find plenty of activity, fine restaurants and fun nightlife. The Northern end of the Key provides a tranquil setting to relax and enjoy your favorite cocktail.
Manasota Key is comprised of low level condominiums, boutique lodging and an array of single family residences offering Bay and Beach frontage. Recent construction of condo residences provides plenty of options to fit your lifestyle and taste. The Northern end of the Key is specifically known for its canopy tree covered road providing lush landscapes and privacy for residents. Most homes are situated on 1+ acre estates and many have either bay or beach easements.
Fine golf courses and entertainment venues are also nearby with first class medical facilities in Venice & Sarasota.
If it’s time for you to enjoy the finer things in life without the hustle & bustle of larger metropolitan areas, then give Manasota Key a try, you’ll be happy you did!

Sharing my piece of Florida

I will admit this is all new to me but I just can't help wanting to share about my little piece of paradise.  Hoping you will enjoy seeing what the Cape Haze Peninsula is all about.

Our family currently lives on a boat...well a big boat.  It was time to try something new again, we sold our company, sold our house and now live on the boat.  I will qualify we currently live in a marina.  This allows our son to go to school and for our dog to be able to take walk.  Both things that help us keep some sanity.

Excited to share some of our adventures and life on the beautiful Gulf waters.  I plan to share more about Southwest Florida including the towns of Englewood, Placida, Palm Island, Manasota Key to just name a few.  All within about 15 minutes of each other and all with their own vibe.

Thanks for joining me!
